The idea began with the book Strega Nona and the organization wanted to give away 20 copies. When FIFABQ approached Rio Grande Food Project they were told of their annual book giveaway in partnership with Libros for Kids. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, this year's book giveaway didn't look to be happening.

 

The three organizations teamed up. Libros for Kids donated over 400 books, Amazon donated 20 copies of Strega Nona, & FIFABQ purchased.... a lot of copies.

 

FIFABQ bundled the books and wrapped them in holiday paper to give to guests at the RGFP food distribution. Families got to take home gifts for their children.
