Edible community park project

Planting the trees to feed the future

Through a series of highly fortunate events we have been blessed with the opportunity to partner with The Southwest Organizing Project to create an edible community space.  This land has been a small community garden for ten years, growing and sharing fresh food, and is about to become a whole lot bigger!

The project includes a permaculture angle, allowing the project to continuously feed the community it will serve for many years to come. The project will also serve as an educational center for the community to learn how to become their own stewards of the land.

This project will also serve as a model for many more of these green spaces to become a reality throughout Albuquerque!

For my sister, it's been real weird.
