In early 2020 FIFABQ hung fliers and door knocked not only to register fruit trees but to help Tree New Mexico measure the health of Albuquerque's canopy. â€‹

Mission

Canopy health helps keep our city cool, increase urban biodiversity, provide plants and animals with a favorable habitat, food.  They also provide protection.

Why is Tree Mapping Important?

  • It allows the State Urban Forester to monitor our canopy health
     

  • The state can stay on top of aging trees/replacements
