Donor Advised Funds
A donor-advised fund is a charitable investment account, for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about. When you contribute cash, securities or other assets to a donor-advised fund at a public charity, you are generally eligible to take an immediate tax deduction.
Planned Giving
Planned Giving includes those who choose to include Food is Free ABQ as a beneficiary of their estate plan. Members are added upon making FIFABQ aware of their gift + are recognized in perpetuity.
We can assist you in determining the form, purpose, and administration of your gift. Annual disbursements made will support + grow the mission of FIFABQ for years to come!
In Kind Donations
In-kind contributions are donations of goods, services, or time — instead of monetary donations. Tangible goods include things like equipment, books, cars, storage, furniture, and supplies. Goods may also be intangible, such as advertising, patents, royalties, and copyrights. Goods may be used, surplus, or new.
Car Donations
By donating your car through One Community Auto, they generate money by refurbishing your donated vehicle (when possible), then selling it on their used-car retail lot in Albuquerque.
Car, truck, van, bus, RV, boat, ATV, motorcycle, or any other vehicle donations, They'll accept just about anything. Whether it is running, wrecked, or a vehicle that you consider a junker. It will help our community. Once sold you will receive a tax receipt and your favorite Non-Profit will receive the proceeds

Why donate crypto?

Donating cryptocurrency can be more tax-efficient than donating cash as it is a non-taxable event. This means that you will not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and you can deduct the amount on your taxes as a charitable contribution.

We do request first and last name, as well as an email address as this, allows us to provide them a tax receipt (which will be issued for donations above $250).

To receive a deduction for gifts over $500, IRS Form 8283 will need to be filled out at tax time. FIFABQ will remind you of this in January.
